West Nile Virus has been getting plenty of media attention lately.. Well, certainly not as much as the "other virus" but still.. plenty! That's because West Nile Virus has been spreading like wildfire through much of the world. Just this week, the Netherlands recorded its first ever human case of the virus. It wasn't always like that though.. West Nile Virus was first identified in Uganda in 1937 and until the 1990s outbreaks were mainly limited to Africa and Israel. However, as a result of the climate change crisis and increasing global temperatures -- the virus has managed to find its way to plenty of other place.
