Andrew Johnson demonstrates the dramatic improvement in his Parkinson's disease motor symptoms when his deep brain stimulation device is turned on.

Andrew was diagnosed with Early Onset Parkinson's Disease in 2009 when he was 35 years old. In November 2012 and February 2013 he underwent a surgical procedure, Deep Brain Stimulation surgery, to help control his motor symptoms. This has been hugely beneficial to his quality of life. This is his experience of how DBS has helped him and in the usual manner, results may vary.

On “Tremor-cancelling spoon for Parkinson's tremors”

Obviously something like brain surgery shouldn't be taken lightly, but I've had a family friend with tremors go through the process and the result is pretty amazing. Went from pretty severe tremors to appearing basically completely cured. This is a pretty good example: link to this video

…use Sci-Hub or ICanHazPDF, here is a youtube of John discussing his work 1. You can use the google to really jump into a rabbit hole here. Essentially, flip a coin, heads the paper is right, tails the paper is wrong, it really is that bad these days. Ok, so lets just scrap the whole thing then, right? Here is why not: link link link link link to this video (a good showing of why science is right and helps folks) link So, yeah, science is a mess right now. But if we scientists don't step up and make it not a mess, those scummy money-grubbing scammer dirtbags…
