Jordan Peterson introduces the study of personality from historical, psychoanalytic, behavioral, and neuropsychological perspectives.

In this lecture, I define personality from multiple angles, historical, constructivist, psychoanalytic, behavioral and neuropsychological. Personality is a way of looking at the world, and a characteristic mode of behaving. It's both stable and adaptively dynamic. --- SUPPORT THIS CHANNEL --- Direct Support: jordanbpeterson.com/donate Merchandise: teespring.com/stores/jordanbpeterson --- BOOKS --- 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos: jordanbpeterson.com/12-rules-for-life/ Maps of Meaning: The Architecture of Belief: jordanbpeterson.com/maps-of-meaning/ --- LINKS --- Website: jordanbpeterson.com/ 12 Rules for Life Tour: jordanbpeterson.com/events/ Blog: jordanbpeterson.com/blog/ Podcast: jordanbpeterson.com/podcast/ Reading List: jordanbpeterson.com/great-books/ Twitter: twitter.com/jordanbpeterson Instagram: instagram.com/jordan.b.peterson/ Facebook: facebook.com/drjordanpeterson --- PRODUCTS --- Personality Course: jordanbpeterson.com/personality Self Authoring Suite: selfauthoring.com/ Understand Myself personality test: understandmyself.com/ Merchandise: teespring.com/stores/jordanbpeterson

On “Ask HN: How do you keep your programming motivation up?”

Trial and error as a programmer dealing with depression and anxiety accounts for a lot, but for resources I'd point you to Robert Sapolsky's lectures on Behavioral Biology (here: link ). Sapolsky's lectures are great for getting a Biology perspective to how human's operate. Jordan Peterson's has lectures on Personality (here: link to this video ) which are also great and echo similar ideas from a Psychology perspective.

On “Ask HN: Why the Hate?”

…y one neutral (surprise). And those negative emotions are all very distinct. If you want more detail I can recommend over 120 hours of learning in the following (which I've watched and digested). They'll walk you through the details from the bottom to the top. - Watch Robert Sapolsky's lectures: link Watch Jordan Peterson's Personality lectures: link to this video and his Maps of Meaning Lectures: (or read the book or listen to the audio book) link…

On “Ask HN: What's the best lecture series you've ever seen?”

I am not a big fan of his work anymore but the original Personality Lectures (2017) of Jordan Peterson are really great. link to this video
