Rhonda Patrick discusses how microplastics and PFAS accumulate in the human body and brain, and shares strategies to reduce exposure.

Every week, the average person ingests the equivalent weight of a credit card in plastic.* While certain preventive measures can significantly reduce your intake of these harmful substances, it’s crucial to acknowledge a more daunting concern: the bioaccumulation of microplastics in the brain, potentially at ten times the rate of other organs. Microplastics and their associated chemicals are alarmingly ubiquitous — they permeate breast milk, sperm, the hippocampus, the prefrontal cortex, the air we breathe, medications, the water supply, and our bloodstream, accumulating in most major organ systems. During this episode, we’ll explore the unsettling realities of microplastics and their associated chemicals, diving into how they infiltrate nearly every facet of our environment and body, and discuss actionable strategies to reduce exposure. Sweating modestly contributes to enhancing microplastic-associated chemical excretion. On “Millions may rely on groundwater contaminated with PFAS for drinking water”

Dr. Rohnda Patrick just did a great episode on PFAS, microplastics, and other environmental toxins in food and water. Tap water tends to have less of these PFAS/nano plastics than bottled water via degradation of the bottle. Topo Chico is especially problematic (nothing to do with the bottle).0 0: link to this video

…are actually a serious health hazard, that doesn't even mean that the health and wellness industry is right, they just got lucky on another grift. They operate thousands of grifts every year often selling things that are blatantly dangerous. I am pro good research. I am anti unregulated bullshit quackery like the below videos link link link link to this video link…

…meability. Studies show dramatically higher absorption rates when your skin barrier is compromised. Although I can't find a link for that right now. Definitely something to think about if you're a cashier or work somewhere handling receipts all day. I've started just declining receipts unless I actually need them for returns/expense reports. 0 - link to this video…
