Thomas Seyfried presents his theory that cancer is primarily a mitochondrial metabolic disease rather than a genetic one.

Thomas N. Seyfried received his Ph.D. in Genetics and Biochemistry from the University of Illinois, Urbana, in 1976. He did his undergraduate work at the University of New England, where he recently received the distinguished Alumni Achievement Award. He also holds a Master’s degree in Genetics from Illinois State University. Thomas Seyfried served with distinction in the United States Army’s First Cavalry Division during the Vietnam War and received numerous medals and commendations. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Neurology at the Yale University School of Medicine and then served on the faculty as an Assistant Professor in Neurology. Other awards and honours have come from such diverse organisations as the American Oil Chemists Society, the National Institutes of Health, The American Society for Neurochemistry, the Ketogenic Diet Special Interest Group of the American Epilepsy Society, the Academy of Comprehensive and Complementary Medicine, and the American College of Nutrition. Dr. Seyfried previously served as Chair, Scientific Advisory Committee for the National Tay-Sachs and Allied Diseases Association and presently serves on several editorial boards, including those for Nutrition & Metabolism, Neurochemical Research, the Journal of Lipid Research, and ASN Neuro, where he is a Senior Editor. Dr. Seyfried has over 150 peer-reviewed publications and is the author of the book, Cancer as a Metabolic Disease: On the Origin, Management, and Prevention of Cancer (Wiley, 1st ed., 2012). Sorry to hear your are going through this. Here are a few I have found interesting. I am not a doctor and by no means is any of this something I am suggesting. There are some other compensating controls that can mitigate cancer but it takes some willpower which I suppose is an entirely different topic all together. This video 1 is worth a watch to learn a bit more about cancer as a metabolic disease. 1 - link to this video link to this video

On “As Their Numbers Grow, Covid-19 “Long Haulers” Stump Experts”

The idea that people are imagining this, as other commenters have put forward, is nonsense. The idea that people are just getting old and drink too much soda isn’t right either although it’s close. The reason why people report similar or overlapping symptoms is because they all have a problem with their immune systems. Overactive immune systems tend to cause a certain set of symptoms. The immune system is very complicated, very broad in its jurisdiction and very poorly understood. It is scientifically proven that certain chemicals (common food additives for example) cause no immune (allergic) response at all whatsoever, but cause an immune response to other chemicals. So the immune system is…

On “A newly discovered body part changes our understanding of the brain (2016)”

“ meaning we’ve been wrong about some basic ways in which the brain and immune system are connected.” I’ve been screaming this at my doctors for years. For those who don’t want to read the article, the quote sums it up. They discovered new lymphatic vessels in the brain in 2016 where previously the brain wasn’t thought to have any. 2 years ago I had a stressful life event. I became schizophrenic because of it. I accidentally discovered that ketosis cures the schizophrenia. It turns out a doctor at Harvard has been sounding the alarm about this and nobody is listening to him 1. After researching these things somewhat deeply, it appears that almost all diseases that involve the death or inac…

My understanding is that cancer cells short circuit the krebs cycle 1 and survive off fermented fuels like glucose and most of the amino acids, l-glutamine being the most prevalent and available.
